Heart Healthy Apple Pie

Hi everyone...
  Who doesn't love pie? Those storebought varieties, however, can play havoc on anyone's health. With the addition of shortening, artificial ingredients, and who knows what else, it can be difficult - if not impossible - to enjoy some old fashioned pie. Here is a way to fulfill your pie cravings without all the added sugars, fats, and calories....

Crustless Apple Pie

1 medium apple, cored
1/2 medium apple, peeled and diced
cinnamon
nutmeg
1 T wholegrain flour
1 T water

Preheat oven to 350F.
Core medium apple. Gently scoop out most of insides.
Place scooped-out apple into mixing bowl.
In mixing bowl, place remaining ingredients.
Mix thoroughly.
Place ingredients into cored apple.
Place on baking sheet.

Put baking sheet into preheated oven.
Bake for 20 minutes, until knife easily slides through the apple.
Remove from heat.
Cool slightly before eating.
Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream.
